AU: Aliens! WHO: Charlie and Dakota WHEN: Present Day WHERE: A fucking spaceship, where else? WHAT: The starlette and the deaf Alien WARNING: kidnapping, awkward Charlieness and TBD!
Extraction had gone smoothly; it always did for him. He was tidy and thorough about collecting specimens, researching their habitats and behaviours for months in advance of constructing a plan. As inconsistent as Dakota’s daily routine proved to be, Charlie was still able to determine a precise time and place to teleport into the atmosphere. With less than two minutes to spare before his ship drifted to unlocatable coordinates, he’d popped down, tranquilized the female in her dressing room and returned with her limp form over his shoulder. He might have preferred the assistance of one of his examining tables but teleportation of non-organic matter was tricky.
Based on everything he’d gathered from Earth’s media, he’d determined that Dakota was the perfect human female months ago. In his initial research, he’d put together a list of criteria and characteristics that the ideal specimen would have to possess--measurements, skin tone, muscle-to-fat ratio, etc. Several females had made the first cut but there was always something wrong with them, something the other humans felt the need to point out. Dakota was different from them, he’d known it since her photograph first appeared on his screen, and it had something to do with her teeth.
In almost every image Charlie had uncovered of Dakota, her lips were pulled back and she was showing her teeth in what he had decided was a human symbol of health and power. No other human he had seen could exhibit such... he couldn’t think of a way to describe it, there was just something about her that stirred conviction in him. She was simply perfect.
He laid her carefully out on the table, injected her with the revival serum and waited for it to take effect. Soon after administering the serum he realized that he hadn’t restrained her or adjusted his personal cloaking device to portray the image of another human. Forgetting one was an enormous oversight, forgetting both was appalling. Truthfully, he’d been distracted by the symmetricality of the female’s face, wanting to open her mouth and get an up-close look at those teeth. Quickly, he sent a few commands to his console and silver tendrils of wire snaked out from under the table, wrapping themselves gently around her body. She wouldn’t feel them when she woke up, but she would also be unable to make them move even a hair’s width. A few more commands, a few rapid flickers and he suddenly looked like a human male. This would, hopefully, help to keep her calm more than seeing what Charlie actually looked like. He was finally ready for her to awaken and he felt a hum of excitement as her eyelids twitched.
