She had been stalked half way to Emma's bedroom door when the brunette had dropped the bit about missing her stuttering redhead. It made the smaller girl stop in her tracks, hesitate. The redhead's shoulders slumped, and face even faltered a bit, though her back still faced Emma. There was a long moment of consideration on her end, before she stormed the rest of the way to the door, pulling it open before turning around to finally look at Emma, face to face. "That girl is dead and gone!" she practically shouted, incredibly defensive, "And that's the way I fucking like it! She would have let you just keep stringing her along with your.. your stupid bullshit, but I'm done. I'm done taking shit from everybody, including you."
Tatum's hand was still on the bedroom doorknob as she spoke, and she clenched it painfully tight in her fist, never taking her eyes off Emma for a second. "You're a fucking slut, you know that? And you're not even good at it! You'll fuck this whole goddamn town, blow people for a pint of vodka, but not me? I fucking love you, for some fucking unknown reason! I must be a masochist! And you give me the fucking run around? Fuck you, you cunt. When you're a dried up old whore in ten years and no one wants you anyway, remember that I fucking did. I wanted always wanted you. And you fucking tore my heart out."
Her words that were cruel, unjust, and dripping with sarcasm. Things that Tatum never would have said or thought, were she in a clear state of mind. But it had been such a long time since that had happened. A big part of her just wanted Emma to hurt like she was hurting. She wanted her to feel the unkind ache of rejection in her heart. "You know what though, Emma? Maybe, like.. maybe you're right, maybe I am too good for you," she decided with finality, "I hope you're fucking happy," she concluded, furiously trying to use the heel of her palm to wipe the tears from her cheeks, as she finally left Emma's bedroom with a loud slam of the door. It shook the cheap frame.
It didn't take her long to find her backpack in the living room, even in the dark, and within a few seconds, the slamming of Emma's front door heralded Tatum's final exit.
