Even with her face turned to the side, Charlie could make out the words he's deaf from the woman's mouth and he nodded to confirm her statement. With everything going on he'd forgotten to identify himself or sign for indication, though he figured that was probably forgivable given the circumstances. He didn't like the way the guard was looking at him; it wasn't a look for someone who'd just recovered a body from a pool or tried (or was about to try, at least) to stop the killer from getting away. He got to his feet and straightened out his damp clothing before addressing Hunter.
"There was a man in here; I saw him getting out of the pool as I walked in and then I saw the... the... guy." Charlie winced and made a floppy gesture in the general direction of the body. "He started talking but not in English... most of it wasn't in English. I mean, I don't think so--I can't remember," he tried to remain calm while explaining but his body was still vibrating ever so slightly. The man in the uniform was just making him more nervous and he found that it helped to focus on Hunter; her presence was oddly reassuring and she seemed to have his back.
"I slipped on the floor and passed out; he must have gotten away while--" something struck him suddenly and he looked to the guard. "What time is it?"
