He let out a low hum as a way of answering the rhetorical question, his eyes drifting between hers and the plush pink tiers she had used to ask him the question she already knew the answer to. There was definitely something about Nona Garrett that drove him absolutely crazy - he had always known who she was, for as long as he could remember, and he always thought that she was gorgeous, but never in a million years would he have guessed that he'd have her standing in his apartment. Nona wasn't the kind of girl a guy like him could ever realistically obtain in a place like Crow's Landing. She was rich; a politician's daughter who did good in school and volunteered around town, and always seemed to be smiling.
Him? He was the son of a drunk and a drug addict who was destined to spend the rest of his miserable life stuck behind a bar barely making enough to pay his rent. That was how everyone else saw them at least - hell, it was how they saw each other before they actually had a conversation for the first time a few months ago. It wasn't a very long conversation, since their physical attraction to each other definitely distracted the both of them, but somehow they started making arrangements to see each other on weekends, and then it turned into trying to see each other whenever she could come up with a good enough excuse to be out of her house for a prolonged period of time.
"So what should we do in the meantime?"
He asked, his voice still low as he ducked his head down in order to press his lips to the side of her neck, still keeping her close by holding onto the ties of her coat, slowly working on loosening the knot as his kisses got lower as he waited for a response.
