It was a relief to hear that the ghosts didn't favor rooms ending in 15.. but it was no real comfort to hear that Amanda Leach could be anywhere she wanted. But Tatum supposed that was how ghosts worked. Walking through walls and all of that stuff, haunting places presumably worked better if you had the run of the whole joint. That made sense. But it didn't make her feel any better. She was quick to let someone else speak up and take over the line of questioning, fading back into the background slightly and only looking up when she realized Bryant was addressing her.
"Uhm, f-for sure. I was just t-thinking.. you know, if a-any of this is t-true, it'd be pretty easy to uhm.. I dunno, f-float between those three rooms, if s-she hangs out in that area. Or w-whatever," Tatum replied, trailing off and reverting to her usual stance, standoffish and chewing her lip. She was pretty proud of herself for asking a question, and even prouder of herself for keeping up this little bit of banter. That was the hard part anyway. "S-Stuck here for at least tonight. I was on m-my way over to California.. uhm, f-from Maine. I wasn't really e-expecting a stop or anything."
She was silently relieved when Teagan took the initiative on introducing her, and she quickly nodded her head in agreement. "Tatum.. or T-Tate, yeah, t-that works too. Or T. Or j-just Tate, whatever," she chimed in softly, looking down as soon as she spoke, as if she saw something infinitely interesting on her shoelaces. When Teagan asked if she was really staying in 115, Tatum nodded her head and looked up a little, still peeking from behind some hair that had fallen into her face. "Y-Yup, room 115.. me and uhm, another g-guy. He's p-pretty cool. It's not b-bad in there.."
Well, there was the weird noise against the wall, but maybe that had just been in her head. She was staying in a supposedly haunted hotel, with lots of haunted stories to back it up, and it was only natural that her mind might play tricks on her. It was probably only the furnace or something.. but why was it only that one wall? Tatum chased the thought from her mind, ignoring the way thinking about it made her feel cold. "N-Not me. I'd be uhm, fine if I d-didn't. I'm n-not as tough as I l-look," she joked, feeling lame.
