If only she could roll her eyes as an iguana...she really wished she could. Now that the residual spike of adrenaline and stress from changing was wearing off, she was cold. And hungry...and really, that aquarium wasn't looking too bad a place to go. A little small, maybe...but it might be warmer. Though she wasn't sure she'd want to still be in it, when the sun rose.
She couldn't talk. Hell, she was pretty sure iguanas couldn't even make noise. The most she'd been able to do was hiss, a little, and she was pretty sure Marcus wouldn't even begin to notice that, stomping around and yelling like he was. She carefully picked her way free of the pile of her clothes, head swinging around and staring at them. She was so small. Everything looked huge. Marcus was already a big man normally; to her now, he was a giant.
Stupid aquarium...why did it have to be glass? She reared up, trying to see if she could get on top of it, and lost her balance, toppling over. Maybe it was a good thing iguanas couldn't blush. ...But seriously...she was cold, and hungry. It was getting hard to think.
Kessie curled up next to the aquarium, as tightly as she could. Unbeknownst to her, her skin grew darker, fighting to absorb warmth; she'd been comfortable, as a human, but now? Now she felt as though moving would be a bad idea. She needed to conserve energy...especially if Marcus kept yelling at the stupid guest and she couldn't get into the aquarium.
Oy, cousin! Help me! Maybe if she thought it at him as hard as possible, he'd stop screaming at the random guy and pick her up, or something...
