"Up. We have to move, we.. baby, we have to move you, I know it hurts, but we have to go," she tried to tell her, not sure how Dahlia would accept the news in her current state. Even if moving might kill her, leaving her behind or hanging around the woods any longer definitely would. Whatever that thing was, it could change it's mind at any minute, and turn back to get them. She'd abandoned the stick, who knew where it was in the dark now, in favor of focusing all of her attention on helping Dahlia. If the beast came back, they were worse than sitting ducks, and Jenny knew that they both had to move.
Swallowing thickly, and knowing that it would hurt the brunette badly but that it needed to be done, the blonde leaned over and gingerly began trying to get her arm underneath Dahlia, to start pulling her up. "Just hold onto me, okay? Just hold onto me and- don't let me go, okay? I know it hurts, I'm sorry, Dahl. I'm so sorry."
She didn't know if she was sorry for hurting her friend when she was already in so much pain, or for letting the whole thing happen to her in the first place, letting the thing snatch her away from her. Perhaps it was both; Jenny was focusing more on her actions than her words anyway, most of which were spewed in a panic, for the sake of trying to console Dahlia. Actions spoke louder, and she wasn't going to sit there and let Dahlia die. She have to be proactive.
