Who: Hunter & Archer. What: Much more familial closeness than Hunter ever signed up for. She expected pants. Where: Their cell. Warnings: TBA.
Hunter's initial thought upon waking had been about the dolphins. What the fuck were dolphins in captivity doing anywhere near where she was? Her second thought was regarding said location, and trying to decipher just where here exactly was, as the blonde pushed herself up on her elbows and blinked around the room that she was contained inside of. She realized quickly that the dolphins obviously weren't in the same room as her.. but they were right next to her, the wall beside where she was laying was like a big aquarium wall. The water and the animals were kept divided from her space only by that thin layer of glass. But touching her fingers to it informed her quickly that it wasn't actually glass, it felt strange and not nearly as cold and firm as the blonde had expected the wall to her.
The longer that she was awake, the more she began to piece back into place, as the tall blonde sat up and scrubbed her hands over her face to both wake herself up and try to clear her head similtaneously. Yes, there had been rain on the beach, and no one had been too happy about it. She hadn't been either. Shelters weren't so great. She and Archer had still been trying to maintain some level of sanity on that damn beach, with her reminding everyone that she was available and helping out where she could, and her uncle flitting between his skiff and Bran in the makeshift infirmary, neither of them seeming to want to actually voice their worry about their friend. But neither one of them could make the weather change, so there hadn't been any fighting against the rain, only the option to move out of it until it stopped.
Heading into the one of the caves along the beach, until the weather calmed down, had seemed like a fine enough idea at the time. But now Hunter couldn't remember anything beyond that idea, and stepping into the cave, and the way that a chill had come over her.. nothing unnatural, but rather a physical chill, because it had been damn cold. Compared to the humid, slick rain that she'd been sitting in, the inside of the caves had felt unnaturally cool. Her skin had broken out in gooseflesh, she remembered that very distinctly.. but she did not remember how she could have gotten into a strange room, with one wall occupied by an aquarium full of Sea World rejects, and the others occupied by seemingly endless pairs of other people in their same situation. She stared through the walls, but the rows of rooms seemed to go on further than she could squint.
She also didn't know just where her clothes had gone, either. She'd been wearing that stupid skirt that she had put on to go out, the night the ship sunk, and her uniform polo, ever since they had hit shore. She hated that stupid shirt, Mare Crisium embroidered on one breast and Jessica embroidered on the other side, but she hadn't taken it off since hitting the beach, because it was the only way she had to really let people know that she was part of the staff.
For what little good any of the staff had been able to do so far.
Now the shirt was gone, and the skirt, and the boots, and the whole nine yards, and it certainly wasn't quite as cold inside of wherever she was as it had been in the tunnels, but the sudden nudity was unexpected. It was an inconvenience that Hunter wasn't exactly happy about it as she used one of the limbs on the tree beside her to pull herself up from her position on the floor, standing to her full height, to try and get a better bearing on the room directly around her. She could climb the tree, see if that gave her a vantage point.. but she was already tall, and the tree wasn't so much taller. She also, looking up at the ceiling now, decided that she didn't want to get too close to whatever the fuck those dick tubes were, or see what they were connected to.
She couldn't just sit around though, and the most logical answer for Hunter was force, as it often was. The blonde moved close to the first wall that wasn't occupied by dolphins. It was the wall that bordered another pairs room, the little redhead that had found the bananas and the flirt from the bar, the one with the boyfriend. Hunter hammered her fists on the wall first, feeling no give to her aggression, and backing up a bit to reconsider. She hauled off and aimed a good kick at the wall, hoping to at least see it shake in the frame.. but there was nothing satisfying to the hit, really. It wasn't a window, even if she could see through, not any kind of glass she'd ever encountered. Her kick ended with simply her foot colliding with it and little more. It felt weird. Her foot didn't even ache, as it should have from hitting something solid, or unyielding.. but while the wall was unyielding, solid was not entirely the right word for it either.
She kicked it again, frustratedly, to the same result. Her foot bounced back, and no damage was done to either her or the enclosure, before the blonde turned her back to the wall and ran her hands over her face again. If she couldn't bust out physically, then things had just become more complicated. Sighing loudly, mostly in irritation, Hunter slid her hands down her face at least until her eyes were uncovered, drumming her fingers against her cheeks instead as she tried to think of what to do next.. and noticed the other form in her room for the first time. She'd noted that most of the other cells had pairs, even the dolphins, but she hadn't even noticed the form in her cell with her until she had stopped focusing on breaking out. Now she wished that she hadn't.
Her naked uncle was most definitely not on her list of things that she'd ever wanted to see, nor was her own naked form something that she'd ever planned to share with him, and she couldn't help but make a noise somewhere between surprise and disgust, before turning back to the wall again, so only her back faced him instead. He hadn't seen her naked ass since she'd been a toddler, running through a sprinkler in her parents backyard or taking a bath, and she had intended to keep it that way. But circumstances weren't ideal, and her ass was at least better than confronting him with a full frontal view. She was more determined than ever to get out, and find out just where the fuck her goddamn clothes were.
"Archer!" she called out, though her back was still firmly facing to him, "Hey! Hey, are you okay? Get up, hey!" Hunter hoped against hope that he was okay, conscious, because if he didn't answer her soon, she'd have to go over and check on him. She had only seen him quickly and then turned away. But if he didn't start addressing her, she'd have to make sure he was breathing or whatever. And her brain was already all kinds of weirded out without having to turn around and give CPR to her naked uncle. Hunter wasn't embarrassed by much of anything, but in that moment, the blonde was genuinely mortified. "Hey, c'mon!"
