Romeo's stuttering was absolutely befuddling to Andromeda. Surely she hadn't scared him that much... And he had that sense of defeat that always seemed to settle on his shoulders, making them sag. It didn't help that he kept his eyes concentrated on the bedsheets. Her dark eyebrows knitted together in concern.
"Are you sure you're alright?" she inquired, reaching her hand out to gently touch the part of his head that had connected with his bed. "You're acting strange..."
Then something clicked, and she didn't know why she hadn't seen it before. "Wait a second," she said suddenly. "Do you think I'm breaking up with you?" It was hard to conceal just how appalled she was at the idea of that. How could he think such a thing? "Is that why you seem so gloomy? Is that why you won't look at me? I came up here because I don't want to keep secrets from you. That's kind of the opposite of breaking up." She sighed and looked into his eyes, the hurt clearly visible in her own sapphire ones.
