"You weren;t exactly eager to talk to me before summer started so I thought it was better to leave it for a while." Ted said with a small shrug.
As the tears sprung to Andie's eyes, Ted had to fight the urge to get up and hug her. He badly wanted to comfort her but knew that him hugging her would probably just make things worse so instead he just sat there.
A happy smile formed on his face as she admitted that she didn't hate him. That was a good start. But then she was leaving again. "I'm sorry." he said, to her retreating figure. "It probably wasn't the best idea to dump all this on you. I totally get that you need time to process it and whatever but when you're done with that will you please just stop avoiding me? I hate that everything's changed and I especially hate that you couldn't even bear to be in the same room as me. That made me feel terrible."
