That came as an amazing shock. Cassidy, mustering up as much patience as she could manage, had been prepared to offer a few words of vague comfort--as specific as she could, under the circumstances, seeing as she had no idea what exactly had happened--but Frankie had cut her brain off at the source when she mentioned being kissed in front of other people, and had absolutely stopped all electric spark of thought when she growled Denny Jackson's name.
Every girl in Hogwarts had observed Denny Jackson at one time or another. He was sweet, kind, the type of boy who would offer to take your books when you were looking tired, and was always the first to offer his notes if you misplaced your own. Not to mention he was one of the star Chasers in school, despite being on Ravenclaw's team, and absolutely gorgeous.
"Denny Jackson kissed you?" She blurted out, unable to control her shock. It had nothing to do with the fact that it was Frankie, though immediately after spitting the words out, she realized it might be offensive and colored red accordingly. "I mean, that just.. doesn't seem like him, kissing girls randomly." She had never even seen Denny with Frankie, and Denny had been seen with most girls. If he wasn't so nice, people would have labelled him a player. "But then, why are you mad?" She asked, a perplexed expression on her face. Any girl would be lucky to be kissed by Denny Jackson. Not that any girl wouldn't be luckier to be kissed by Remus Lupin. But that wasn't going to happen, she thought jealously, and thrust the thought from her mind. She was the only one who was going to be kissing Remus.
