She looked down at the table, knowing that Draco was right. The chain of events they could set into motion could change everything. Perhaps she had been too hasty in making this decision.
Her eyes widened as she thought more about it. She saw her logic, but why had she gone through with it so quickly? This was so unlike her. Maybe it was that little voice that always told her to tell an adult about a bad situation. But Remus wasn't an adult--not yet. In fact...currently, she was probably older than he was.
She bit her lip, unable to believe she had been so rash. But the damage was done. "Remus," she said slowly, "Draco and I will discuss the situation, and decide exactly what we want you to help us do. For now, just try to get your head around the situation...which I still haven't explained." She looked at Remus with a guilty expression. "If you really don't want a part in this, we'll cast an Obliviate and you can go back to a normal life."
