"Maybe. We might have to define what 'up and running' means, because if it's a full seven years of students and a dozen professors, that might be too much." Ron nodded, glad they were on the same page. "I think we need a Ministry, but it has to be run differently than before, and right now we don't even number two dozen." That might change relatively quickly with the rate of new arrivals were happening, but it would still be a long time before the population was anything like it was before. "And I think we should think about basing it in Hogsmeade, at least to start. I don't think going back to London is a great idea. There are too many people, and we should stay near the school anyway."
Ron gave Harry a horrified look. "I don't even know how to respond to that." It was easiest to just pretend Harry had never put that idea out into the universe. "Something about finding out who we are as individuals, and if we want the same things for the rest of our lives." The break-up had made sense at the time, or at least Ron had told himself it did. "But as you said, it looks like I won her back eventually, so maybe if she gets here we'll figure it out again." He grinned back at Harry, not offended by the comment.
"When we get students here, I think we're going to have to ask the older kids at least to give us a crash course in Muggle history. At least the last thirty years of it." The knowledge was going to have to go two ways, as far as he could see it. "I know. We have a chance to really change things, and we need to make that clear to everyone who arrives. Not everyone will like it."
