"I just came from that way," Narcissa shook her head slightly, glancing toward the windows of the Hall and noting the sky outside. It was a crisp, gray day, the sort of winter that was present closer to spring than autumn. At least, that was the way it seemed, but it was November, "I didn't see anyone, but I didn't think to check for the house elves."
It must be some cruel trick, she thought, but the reasoning behind trapping her in Hogwarts with a Weasley escaped her. Maybe he was supposed to get some information out of her pertaining to her husbands trial. Or Draco's. She wished it would just end. One way or another.
Still, she didn't have it in her to give up so easily. She could play along. Narcissa dropped her arms and gestured around her, "It seems awfully put together, doesn't it? Considering all that happened here, what- three months ago?" Different streams of thought were firing inside of her mind. A trick, a trap, or something more sinister, she couldn't be sure.
"The Professors, at least, should be here. You'd think Minerva would want to get things ready as early as possible this - of all - years."
