RP: Albus & Lily
Who: Albus Dumbledore & Lily Potter
What: Herbology requests
Where: The greenhouses
When: Morning, July 11th

Albus had no reason to think Mrs Potter would be in the greenhouse on Saturday morning, but he nonetheless found himself walking in that direction, his footsteps softened by the still-damp grass. It was always worth a visit, especially on a bright, quiet morning like today. Even if she was taking the weekend away from work, he might be able to have a look at what was growing before he approached her.

Carefully, he eased open the door to greenhouse number 3. It had been a while since he'd been here - his teaching work didn't require it much, and since arriving here he hadn't been at all. Still, the smell and the close warmth of the greenhouse hadn't changed since he had studied for his NEWTs...

Albus took a few steps inside, looking around at the raised beds and the lush, green leaves. A few pots were scattered here and there, containing plants that swayed as if in the breeze, although there was no wind to speak of. Carefully, Albus squatted down to get a closer look, absently rubbing a hand across his broken nose as he examined the shifting green and purple leaves.

If he was startled, Albus didn't show it as he looked up at where Mrs Potter had appeared amongst the plants. Instead he offered her a pleasant smile.

"Good morning." He pulled himself to his feet. "I hope I didn't disturb you... Is this fluxweed?" He gestured to the happily waving leaves. Albus was much more used to magical plants in their picked, dried state, as usually found in potions. It had been a while since he had ventured into places they grew.

"I'm sorry to interrupt," he continued. "I was hoping to speak to you about some ingredients I was looking at procuring." Albus took a careful step towards her, crossing his arms across his chest and tilting his head a fraction, bright blue eyes fixing unwaveringly on the young witch. There was a part of Albus, buried deep down, which felt a little uncomfortable in her presence. He knew that his older self had made some... questionable decisions regarding her family. He only had to hope that it wouldn't be held against him.

For the moment, Lily was all business when it came to dealing with Dumbledore at least in regards to magical plants. Of course she smiled back at him.

"Good morning to you, as well." She waved off his concerns about disturbing her. "Yes, it is. We've had good luck with the current crop." She gently cupped one of the leaves. Lily had developed a fondness for the various species of plants she was now working with. It helped that she often came to the greenhouses when she wanted some alone time.

"You're not interrupting," she mentioned. "That's what I'm here for, magical plant related things." Lily didn't mind when he got closer, finding his stance and demeanor unthreatening even with the way his eyes focused on her face. While it was a little odd for Lily, she was genuinely trying not to blame people for what their future selves had done. Even in relation to her family and how it affected Harry. If her son could let bygones be bygones, then Lily could strive to do the same.
