He was surprised by how taken by by Savannah's comments he was, he simply shrugged and nodded. "I see" he said quietly. Work was something he was passionate about, and not at all trivial to him. Hobbies were things he enjoyed, with those he could share in them with. His life, that was something else, and why he would want to unload years of dreadful things on anyone was baffling to him. The prospect of starting was hard enough to contemplate. It wasn't as if anyone cared. Not really. Even if he did want to talk he didn't have the option, not anymore. Not truly. That's just how it was. That's how people were, in his life at least. Disappointing.
What else there was to say he didn't much hear, save for a small nod here and there, when it seemed required.
He smiled, although it was a little empty. "I'll catch up," he said turning to leave. "I'm not quite ready to head back inside. In a little while." Placing his hands in his pockets he walked on, nowhere really in mind to go. Just a quick walk to clear his mind, and then he'd head back.
