Re: Jamie and Scorpius
"Oh hello, I'm fine, thank you and how are you?" he answered with a grin. "Just because I'm stuck in a make-shift hospital, it doesn't mean that we do away with social norms. Grandmother would be horrified to know that I'm associating with people who don't remember this fact." It wasn't often that he pulled out the Malfoy tone, but if he didn't do it now when he could get away with everything, he didn't know when.
"I'm glad he did," he added in a much more genuine tone. "And it wasn't really a surprise. Just dinner with your family, Dad and me, but-" He didn't want to share the reason, but it was better than lying, he supposed. "You've been disappointed in the past, with your father having to be late or not showing up, so we figured that we'd wait to share until we were sure, but then we got distracted by homicidal birds."
He almost shrugged, but knew better than to try that. He'd done it one too many times and the pain hadn't gotten any better. "I'm... the same physically. Dad is giving me a potion to rebuild the burnt flesh before we move onto the skin, but- Marlene said that there's a way to recreate skin without scars. It's unlikely that I'd look like me though. Spells aren't that precise."
