"You shouldn't be surprised, because you are a great person, even if you can be a prat on occasion," he teased. "You deserve this," he added quietly. "I don't know why you think it's for others, because you aren't a monster. You're the nicest person of all of us. If you want monsters, look at what we all did. You don't need to be cursed to be a monster."

He smiled. "Good old Hogwarts. Even lying in bed sick, the news spreads like fiendfyre." He knew that Remus was right, but that didn't mean that they couldn't change. "We need to start considering a new middle name, because I don't want us to end the way we did the first time. We need to do better, even if we still will protect others, because that's what we do."

Peter kissed Remus' temple. "Good for you, but maybe you should consider telling him. I know he will find a cure, but still- life is short. Look at what happened in 1981, look at what happened with Cassandra. Tell him."
