Re: Peter/Remus
"I don't know. I guess..." Remus had to pause and let another wave of weakness wash over him before he could continue, eyes closing briefly as his energy seemed to ebb a bit. "I guess I'm still amazed that this is something I get to have," he admitted once the moment passed. "This kind of love was something I always thought other people were meant to have, people like James and Lily. Not monsters like me. It's like a little miracle every morning I get to wake up next to him."
As Peter lay down fully, Remus shifted a bit more to accommodate him. "I heard about Theo. And Malfoy." Malfoy was to be expected. Draco was his son, after all. Other than Sirius and Regulus' parents, Remus couldn't really see any parent not trying to save their child, no matter old that child was, how much of an adult. "I don't think we can break up with trouble so easily, though. I mean, it is Sirius' middle name, after all."
He fell quiet, just laying there in companionable silence for several heartbeats. "I do, you know," he said at last. "Trust him and love him. We haven't told each other in so many words, yet. But, when I thought I was just finding a new friend, I went and fell in love with him."
