"We were a lot smaller, then," Remus huffed, shifting as best he could to give Peter room. He knew no one understood the casual affection between all of the Marauders, the ease with which they hugged and touched casually. But, it was a comfort to Remus, a sign the bond between them might have stretched and bent, but never broken.
And, besides, this way no one could accuse Peter of being out of bed when he should be resting.
"Being here while sick isn't much fun, either." The words may have been a rebuke from anyone else. But, from Remus it was just a casual, if tired observation of shared misery, accompanied by a small smile. "You're feeling all right, then? Regulus said you weren't as badly injured, but still affected by this poison?"
