Re: Regulus/Remus
"And I will do my best not to die protecting either of you, or anyone else," Remus promised, managing to will enough strength into his arm to raise it long enough to brush his fingertips against Regulus' cheek. "Got too much to live for, now. I think I know what to do with that last room, too. We need training space. Somewhere secured we can experiment with new spells, too. Just in case."
He almost refused the offer of a drink, not wanting to be a burden. But, then he remembered their conversation about helping each other. So, he nodded. "Water would be good. Thank you."
Regulus acquiesced a little too easily to giving Remus something to do instead of just laying around doing nothing, waiting to see if he was going to die or not. But, Remus was too tired to argue about what was, in consequence, a pointless exercise. He knew his mind wasn't clear. And he trusted Regulus. "Since it's you asking, I'll try not to go entirely mental laying here doing nothing all day. Just...promise me you won't work yourself into a stupor for this cure. You can't help anyone if you don't take care of yourself, too. At least, listen to Kreacher when he tries to remind you about little things like food and sleep."
