Re: James | Remus
"No, I've been in and out all day," Remus said quietly, answering all James questions very neatly in one sentence, he thought. When Remus had first opened his eyes and seen his friend, it had taken him a moment to remember this wasn't fourth year and it wasn't a Full Moon. How many nights had he woken from pain-filled sleep to find one or more of his friends keeping watch over his sleep? Ever since they'd first figured out his secret, those three had been there.
"I half expect to see Pads keeping watch on the Map so you lot aren't discovered out of bed," he teased with a soft smile.
Prongs looked like hell, if Remus looked closely. They'd known each other for too many years for him not to notice the telltale signs of worry and frustration pinching around James' eyes. "How's your arm?" He had vague recollections of being concerned about James taking a hit before he'd been distracted by the need to have Sirius' back and then passing out. "Regulus said Theo got Lily out safely. She's okay?" he asked gently. Regulus had also mentioned Al...or had he meant Dumbledore? He'd just said Albus and with everything clouding his focus, Remus now realized he wasn't sure which 'Albus' had been intended. In any case, if it was Al, that would also explain some of James' expression. Remus assumed Sirius was all right or Regulus would have said something about wasting his Gryffindor heroics, Remus was certain.
