RP: Harry/Draco
Who: Harry/Draco
When: Evening of the 4th
Where: Heaven
What: Harry takes Draco out for his birthday

Draco had already survived a day at the theme park. Harry was still not sure if he'd been incredibly amused or terrified by the rollercoaster. They never seemed to get around to talking about it. It was probably his fault, something about lack of communication his children would say, but it just didn't seem that important. Maybe he'd ask tonight.

They had dressed up in what was fashionable club attire thanks to Scorpius, although Harry was sure that this was not what was club attire at Heaven. People tended to shed clothes there pretty quickly. Tonight was one of their G-A-Y nights, with drag queens and live show before the DJ set the dance floor on fire. At least he thought it was one of their G-A-Y nights. Harry had discovered Heaven not too long ago and apparently was the hotspot for gay men. Since it was such an institution, he was banking on the fact that it was still there.

They arrived late, much later than they were used to staying up. The place was packed, mostly with gay couples. As Harry had expected, clothes were tight or missing, with plenty of men walking around shirtless. The hue of blue coming from the lights made everything seem even more sinful. He held Draco's hand, smiling. "Welcome to Heaven."

***

Draco had been getting a real education in all things Muggle lately, and as much as he hated to admit it he was actually enjoying a lot of it. He especially liked Harry in this outfit, even if robes were infinitely more comfortable.

"Heaven, huh?" He looked around with a sardonic smile, taking in the, admittedly very attractive, sights.

"It's not exactly what I pictured," though truthfully he hadn't really known what to expect. "But I think it might be better." Harry was definitely getting more than one hungry glance, and Draco linked their arms posessively.

"So. Do we dance? Or are we getting liquid courage first?"

***

"Hey, I didn't come up with the name," he said with a grin. "I think when it opened it was both heaven and a haven for gay people, but now-" No one seemed to care. Even in 2003, things were not this simple. He couldn't imagine how much more hidden it was when it had opened. "We get to enjoy it, though."

Harry leaned closer and kissed Draco's jaw. "I'm not going anywhere," he whispered in Draco's ear. "We're spending the entire night together."

Pulling back, he smiled. "As if I need courage in any form. I do like alcohol though. Let's get something to drink. You can have some of those fruity cocktails they make here. You'll like them." Harry would go for something simpler, less sugar and more alcohol. "They have a drag queen show too at some point." His mind went to Scorpius for a moment, but then decided not to think about that too hard. "We can also find a place to sit until we get our bearings. I don't exactly know how people dance in 2038."

***

"I'm just making sure they all know you're mine," he said back, quietly. He pulled Harry in for a proper kiss, then linked their arms again, a little more casually. "I have no idea what a Drag Queen is, but it sounds like fun. And I do like fruity things."

He let Harry lead them over to the bar. He kept his eyes on the dancing couples, and had to agree that he had no idea how to do most of that. A lot of it couldn't even be counted as dancing, more like sex with pants on. Draco could pull off any of the proper ballroom dances, but this was definitely not that. Still, he was game to try. Especially if Harry took his shirt off.

"I don't think I've ever seen quite this much glitter in one place before."

***

Harry huffed. "I'm not sure anyone here cares that much about me. It's the beauty of the Muggle world. I can be anonymous for a while." The kissing was something he enjoyed, so he kissed Draco once more, deciding that there would be plenty of that, since clubs were made for kissing and dancing. "It's men that dress like women, but- more than that, they have wigs- Never mind, you'll have to see it."

Walking to the bar took much longer than it should have considering the short distance, but the place was packed on a Friday night. Harry ended up letting go of Draco, just to link their hands together, making it a little easier to get through the crowd. Even at the bar, they had to fight the crowd to order. He got himself a Guiness and one of those cocktails that were heavy on the juice and light on the alcohol for Draco.

Harry turned to look at the crowd, leaning against the bar. He pulled Draco close to him and put his arms around his lover. "You'll see more glitter." Tired of screaming, he cast a spell, just waving his hand, creating a little bubble of quieter music around them. "If you had asked me in school that one day we'd be at a gay club together, I would have checked for spells, but here we are." He often cut discussions short with kisses and sex. It was easier for him, but he was trying with his kids and he figured that he should try with Draco too. "I'm glad we are here. I want to do things with you." He brushed Draco's hair gently. "I want to do a lot of things with you."

***

Draco let out a little sigh of relief as Harry cast his spell. He liked the music okay, but he didn't think he'd ever get used to how loud muggle places were.

"If I had asked you to go to a gay club with me back at school I would have been under the Imperius, because I had no idea places like this even existed!" It was nice though, seeing how little things like being gay mattered in the future.

He leaned happily into Harry's touch. He was a tactile person by nature, but tried not to be too handsy with Harry. He knew it was a new thing for him, and he never wanted his boyfriend to feel uncomfortable. Especially in public. He wondered if it was the anonymity of this place, or if Harry was starting to get used to casual touch. Either way, Draco would take it.

"I want to do everything with you," he replied, smiling in a sweet way that would have looked utterly foreign in the past. Maybe they were all growing. He leaned in slightly, grinning. "People are looking at you, you know. Not because you're Harry Potter, but because you look fucking hot in that outfit."

***

"Don't you like the music?" Harry asked. He loved it, even when he had no idea what the songs were. "There's something hypnotic about how loud it is, the beat of the bass vibrating through the club and your body, the lights going on and off. You can get lost in the rhythm so easily. Unless I'm trying to talk, then it's just annoying," he admitted. Not that Harry did a lot of talking in clubs like this. In the past, if he had been here, it would have been for a hook up and nothing more.

He snorted. "True enough. I didn't know these places existed either, and if we're honest, anyone who would cast the Imperius would probably not know about this place either. It would have been truly remarkable if any discussion about this would have occurred in school."

Harry hated that Draco had to hold back most days. He never knew what touch would be weird while at Hogwarts, but there was one place where he was just fine with touches. "You can touch as much as you like," he said. "This is what this place is for. It's why I wanted to come here, just the two of us. You can do anything you like and I'll be fine."

Pulling Draco even closer with a hand, he half turned when he heard the bartender. He handed Draco his drink and took his bottle. They would be indecent at Hogwarts, crotch touching, bodies flushed. It was perfectly natural here. "Or maybe they are looking at you. Your hair, your eyes, you look bloody hot in anything, always have."

"I don't dislike it," Draco said truthfully. "It's just... Loud. But I have a feeling I'll like it a lot more by the end of the night."

He looked back at the couple's going mad on the dance floor, and tried to picture Harry out there, lost in the music. He stopped quickly though, not wanting to think too much about Harry dancing like that with anyone else. Chances are he'd have his own memories soon, and wouldn't need to imagine anything.

Draco fairly beamed as Harry gave him permission to be handsy. He wouldn't go nuts, not immediately, but he did quickly slip a hand into Harrys back pocket, pressing them closer together. It was both casual and extremely intimate and Draco loved being able to just touch him without any worry.

"Of course I look hot," Draco joked, without a hint of false modesty. "I'm half Black you know, and say what you will about that bloodline but we produce gorgeous children."

"It is loud. I think that's part of why I enjoy it so much. You can get lost in it. There's no talking, no thinking, just you and the music, and everything else is irrelevant." He had spent enough time in clubs to know how much the music could turn you into your own personal island in a sea of people.

He watched as Draco looked around, before taking a look around the club. He wondered what it must look like to someone who had never been around Muggles. Even the very first time Harry had stepped into a club, he knew all about the music and the lights, but none of that existed for Draco. "It's very different, I know, but that's part of the charm too. No one ever bothered me in Muggle clubs."

He wasn't surprised by the shift. Draco loved touching and Harry wouldn't have given permission is he would be bothered. "You're the jealous type, aren't you?" he asked, remembering the arguments with Ginny, not that any of that would be a problem now. The adoring public was gone together with all the enemies.

Harry laughed. "If that's true, then Ron must be really good looking. Both of his grandmothers are Blacks." Except that Ron looked a lot like a Weasley and very little like a Black.

"I'll take your word for it," Draco said with a grin. He liked seeing this place through Harry's eyes. If he'd come here alone, or with one of his friends, he might have just turned tail and left. But there was something almost magical about the lights and sounds and rhythms that was intriguing. He wondered how much of this could be incorporated into the club back at Hogwarts.

"I'm the possessive type," he corrected, nipping fondly at Harry's jaw. "I don't need to be jealous, because I know that no one could take you from me. But that doesn't mean I'm not going to let everyone here know that we came together, and we're leaving together too."

He almost said something mean about Weasley's, but he stopped himself. Ron had been growing on him, and he was Harry's best friend. He could be nice. Or, he could try to be nice.

"He has his moments," he said instead, which was true. Ron wasn't tragic looking.

"You should. I'm a Gryffindor; I don't lie," he said with a grin, because they both knew that Harry lied and plenty if he thought that it was for the right reason. He'd never felt any moral obligation to tell the truth if it put people in danger.

"You shouldn't be jealous, because I have no interest in anyone else and not because they can't take me. I'm not some kind of prize." In fact, someone like Ginny might say that he was the opposite of a prize, but that thought was better left unspoken, since Draco had made it very clear that any and all references to Ginny weren't appreciated."

Harry snorted. "If you say so. I love him dearly, but he's too much like a brother to be attractive. Same with Hermione. Sometimes I wished that the papers had been right and we'd be together, the three of us. It certainly would have made our lives easier, but alas, it was never going to happen."

"Of course you don't," Draco said, with a mock seriousness. Not that Harry lied much, or, rather, he tended to lie for the right reasons, and Draco trusted him more than anyone else he'd ever known.

"Take was the wrong word," Draco agreed. "I'm not jealous because I trust you." That was less sexy, he supposed, but a lot truer. He wasn't worried about someone else turning Harry's head. There might be struggles in their relationship down the line, but it wouldn't come from another person, it would be entirely about the two of them, and their own personal brands of fucked up.

"You sort of are though, aren't you? Not romantically I mean, but platonic relationships are just as important a lot of the time. You three, you're a package, and I made peace with that a long time ago. Whether you fuck your friends or not, you're still the Golden Trio."

"Good, because you have no reason to be jealous. If there's a problem, you'll be the first to know and it won't be solved by cheating." Harry had fucked up plenty in his relationship with Ginny, but cheating on her had never been one of those fuck-ups and he couldn't even imagine cheating on Draco. "Is it dumb that I'm worried? This has been too easy." He kept waiting for the other shoe to drop.

Harry took a sip of his beer, as the taste of the alcohol spread through him, he realized how little he was drinking. A glass of wine with dinner, maybe a firewhiskey later on at night. "Jamie keeps mentioning how much I drank. It seems impossible now, but when we got here? I was on the way, because life had gotten boring. I don't know how to do normal, Draco."

He shrugged. "Sure, I love them, but when I look at them, I can't think of how hot they are. It's not because of their genders, but because they are Ron and Hermione. They are family. They are closer to how you'd view your Mum or Scorpius. So yeah we might be the Golden Trio - and did Skeeter come up with that? I can't even remember, but it's too nice to be her - but we're definitely not in a relationship."

"Cheating never even crossed my mind," he said emphatically. That just wasn't Harry. It wasn't him either.

"I don't blame you for being worried. When had anything ever actually been easy and simple. But I just have to keep thinking that this will be different. There is no reason that it has to go wrong, just because other things have. I'm fully committed to making this work, and I'm a stubborn asshole when I want to be."

Draco had definitely noticed how much less Harry was drinking. He especially noticed that Harry drank less when he was around, which worked well since they spent most of the prime drinking hours together. It went both ways though, Draco's alcohol tolerance had gone up. Not much, mind you, but he knew he could get through this one drink without making an idiot of himself. He'd have a few more tonight though, he had no problem with being drunk and silly tonight.

"Normal isn't all its cracked up to be," he said with a soft smile and a shrug. "I think you're doing great. I think we're doing great. Whoever you or I ended up in the other future, we're not them, and I don't think we ever will be. The trick will be making sure you don't get bored."

He took a long drink from his cup, sort of like a promise to make the night entertaining.

"Of course you're in a relationship. Just not a romantic one. A friendship is still a relationship. A family is a relationship. But, you don't have to label it. You guys are just... You guys." He tried to remember who coined Goldren Trio, but couldn't. "Skeeter sounds right, but who knows really."

"It's not about general things. It's about me and relationships, and I don't mean romantic ones necessarily." He didn't have anyone that he considered a close friend other than Hermione and Ron. even the members of the D.A. weren't necessarily close friends. "I don't set out to make a mess of things, but I usually do."

Harry chuckled. "I have never been normal, even before I knew that I was a wizard and the Boy Who Lived. I lived in a cupboard under the stairs, with people who hated me, learning to be the cook of the house. Normal went out the window the moment Trelawney uttered that prophecy, before I was even born." He liked to think that Draco was right and he'd never turn into that man, but he knew how easily he could slip into that persona. One step in the wrong direction and it'd be so very easy. "I suppose we could try to find things to do that make life more interesting," he teased, although they were going off topic now.

He rolled his eyes. "I'd like to remind you that this little discussion started with me saying that I could never find Ron or Hermione attractive. We were talking about a very specific type of relationship. And I do know that we're friends, thank you very much."

"I think you don't give yourself enough credit, Potter." Draco ran his fingers lightly along Harry's jaw. "But I won't keep pushing the subject."

He grinned as Harry mentioned things that would make life more interesting. That was what they were here for, after all. New experiences, interesting situations. Letting down guards and getting a little crazy. Draco deliberately finished his drink, shaking his head at the sweet rush. He knew it couldn't be that alcoholic, with all the frills, but he could already feel that warm rush on his cheeks.

"I'm glad you don't find them attractive, for the record. That would be an awkward four way."

"Maybe, but I guess we can see how terribly good or good at being terrible I am, since you don't seem to be going anywhere."

He took another long sip from his bottle and put it down at the bar and pushed himself off, giving people a chance to order. "And we're done talking about my best friends, because that's not why we're here." Harry kissed him possessively, pulling him together. "Come on, Malfoy. You can shake that sexy arse of yours on the dance floor and we'll make them all jealous tonight."
