It was fun, and with that smile, he obviously knew it. But it was hard to think of a decent retort with the way his hand was skimming the bare skin of her lower back. Instead Roxanne raised an eyebrow, her failed attempt at a serious expression cracking as a corner of her mouth twitched upward.
Roxanne was the first to admit she usually quite liked to be in control of stuff, and perhaps she ought to have seen this coming or, at least, acknowledged that it was a possibility. Looking back, that had been stupid. But it wasn't an unpleasant kind of surprise, even if a few more obvious warnings might have been appreciated. After all, Theodore Nott was very pleasant to look at. Plus he was smart and had nice hands which could build very beautiful machines, and once he relaxed a little, he made her laugh...
Well, let's just say there were much worse ways Roxanne could think of spending a Thursday night.
"Well, obviously not," she replied. After all, she was surpised, not stupid. Or dead. Rather than bother thinking up something clever to say, Roxanne tangled her fingers in the front of his shirt and lifted her face up to kiss him again, her body curving into his. It went on longer this time, deepening into a second and third kiss, her fingers eventually unclenching from Theo's shirt and drifting upwards to his neck and jaw.
