"And they call me a workaholic," Roxanne grumbled, but a teasing smile cracked her features as she watched him approach the gently gleaming project. It was always fun, finding someone who would appreciate stuff like this as much as she did. It didn't happen often enough, really. Sure, she got that people liked flying and potions and runes and all that stuff - she liked a lot of it too. But it just didn't compare to putting something together with your own hands and seeing it come to life. To see it evolve and bloom out of nothing.
She snorted as he hesitated. "You did loads. If you'd left me to it I'd probably have accidentally built a coffee pot or something." Still, she didn't need telling twice. Stepping around Theo, she ducked to take a look at the one face which remained open, finding the empty slot in the mechanics and sliding the wheel in. It secured itself with a satisfying clunk as Roxanne fished her wand from her back pocket, twirling it and watching the various screws and cogs tighten around it.
"There," she straightened up, sliding her wand behind her ear in a triumphant motion. Her gaze flew to Theo, then to the small key-like dial tucked away down the side of the instrument. "Now you've just got to wind it. It's a team effort, Nott."
