That was a lot of information for one tired werewolf who was already putting up a front of more fortitude than he felt to even begin to parse, too many points thrown out rapidly with little time to digest all of them. So, Remus didn't. There was no dishonour in retreat, particularly if it meant living to fight another day instead of losing the entire war.
"You could have led with the fact you'd thought through the scenarios instead of just throwing out general statements of 'we can't do that', you know." Remus shook his head, mentally exhausted by this conversation more than he had been by the transformation that morning. "Although, for the record, I wasn't saying we should do any of that, just that we could explore the options. Contrary to what you seem to think, I'm not a masochist, I don't advocate living from nothing. But, sometimes the grand schemes have to start in smaller pieces. I was offering smaller pieces. Some that may work and some that may not but could be explored. Clearly, you've thought it through, made up your mind, and have set the course of action."
Pushing himself slowly to his feet, he bit back a groan rather than show more weakness than he already had. "None of that was widely known in my time," he said quietly. "Thank you for letting me know. It wasn't really a topic I'd any thought to look into yet, given it's low priority. Now, I should probably think about calling it an early night, or I'll be useless for anything tomorrow."
