"We spoke a little, but she gets very polite and starts with the Mr. Potter and she knew my sons. It's weird, because she's older than me, but she sees the man who became minister a year later." He chuckled. "I had to be to survive."
He sighed again, something he seemed to do a lot recently. "I know your reputation, the pranks, the battles. I'm not diminishing what any of you did and I know it sounds arrogant, but I literally spent every year in this school saving the world, with someone or something trying to kill me. A killer of unicorns, the sorcerer's stone, a three headed giant dog, a giant chess board. And that was just my first year." He shook his head. "I hadn't thought that, but the letter- I've been thinking about it. If there's a Gringotts and if we can find the key, the goblins will only recognise the person in charge, and that will be me but otherwise? I'm not interested in being Ministery. I'm more interested in finding this vault. Snape can take over the school and decide his staff. The rest, we'll figure it out as we go along."
Harry laughed. "I have no idea. I certainly wasn't thinking kids before coming here. I don't know if it makes up for those names, but my daughter is Lily Luna." He felt that she had gotten the best deal. "I think losing Sirius was a big blow. He turned into someone else." He wasn't sure he wanted to know that badly. "Let's hope that he comes from before he betrays Mum and Dad. we might not have an explanation but at least he will be the friend you had."
He had thought about Greyback a lot. Unlike the wizards, he didn't get to go to Akzaban. He was executed. "A lot of the people he turned were very young, children. He groomed them, isolated them, became their only supporter. They never had a chance. And the rest? Hermione was working on a program that would help the werewolves financially. The downside is that you don't get help unless you're registered, because the Ministry can't help you without knowing that you need help. After the Muggleborn registration, people were careful."
