Re: Padma and Harry
Harry listened to everything she had to say and he had to admit that he hadn't even thought about the veil. He was glad for the privacy spell, but had to smile at the gentle tease. "Good thing that we know that we would have never used it if it was me, because I would have said no regardless." But if they had talked him into using it, showing him the logic, he would have considered it.
"Alright, let's start from the beginning. You're right that it's been there for a long time. Some people said that the Ministry was built there because it was easier than finding a way to move it. I could never find confirmation either way." He sighed. "I might have been tracking leads about the veil to see if I could bring Sirius back, so- Maybe I would have considered it."
He thought about moving it. "We found a way to cancel every trace of our existence from London. We must have found a way to move it. Honestly, the easiest one would have been to use house-elves. They can move things we can't and they can also get into places we can't. I think you'd have to look into house-elf magic. On the other hand, we can give this job to Ron. He can actually track down house-elves, make a list of manors and talk to them until he finds the right ones. It might be faster than trying to find it in the entire country. Also I was going to say that not everyone could see it for what it is, but at this point, I think everyone here has seen a dead body. Maybe not the younger generation. To anyone who hasn't seen a dead body at whatever age they are now, it'd be just a random arch."
Where would they put that veil? "If we used it, it wouldn't be in the vault anyway. We'd put it somewhere else. Honestly, if we were desperate, we would have tried anything. You know that. We've done plenty of crazy things in our lives, what's one more."
