Re: Padma and Harry
"And, normally, I'd agree with you," she acknowledged, unsurprised when he beat her to casting the privacy spell. "But, in this case, I think it's better to keep it amoung those a little more level headed...which means I'm only sharing with you because it's something you already know about," she teased with a smile.
"I know you have more knowledge than the average layman about the the Department of Mysteries and what's inside it...or what was. So, I'll be frank. Something's been bothering me ever since I arrived. The veil. Death magic is my speciality and that is the room I work in. Ministry legend says the Ministry was built on that location because that was where the veil was there and couldn't be moved. Whether that's true or not, I don't know. But, I do know moving it would not have been an easy proposition and would have taken a lot of power."
She bit her lip because even she didn't like the direction her thoughts had taken her. "At first I thought about it because it couldn't have been moved to just anywhere. So, if we could find a way to track it, work in parallel with your hunt for clues, maybe we could also find this vault. But, last night after you told us this new theory, I had another thought. If we were that desperate, would we have tried to use it in our scheme to bring everyone back?"
