A soft whimper escaped him at the gentle touch of fingers through his hair. Remus' skin was over-sensitive for hours after transforming and even just that little bit of touch was enough to remind exhausted pain sensors that even his scalp had been through hell in the last little while. He flinched involuntarily away from the hands trying to help him, abused muscles protesting even that careful handling.
"Skip the jumper," he rasped, forcing his body to comply with their movements. There was no way he was getting his arms over his head to put that thing. "Just the jacket." Denim on his his skin was going to irritate like hell, but as he already had denim trousers, might as well spread the irritation around evenly. It wasn't the worst he'd dealt with post-transformation and it was better than walking back to the castle starkers.
His brain hadn't quite caught up to reality, yet, still pain-fogged. But, as James helped him up, it finally clicked that this was James and Sirius, his friends were there and he didn't have to do this alone for this month, for the first month in so long. "Prongs," he whispered before turning his head. "Pads." Sharp pain stabbed through various neck muscles as he moved too fast. "You're really here."
