Re: Morning After
Running with the Werewolf was one of Sirius' favorite things, and being in this weird timeline didn't change that. The wolf had been on edge, and had tried to fight them a few times, but it knew they were his pack, and they'd spent the evening playing. He'd missed the forest, it was the best place to explore, but this had been almost as good.
He and James had moved away as the transformation started again, and Sirius had watched with his heart in his throat. This was the only part that was awful, and he hated that he couldn't help Remus with it. He was prepared to grab his things and get him settled once it ended. He had water and pain potions as well, stashed away, and a flask of Remus' favorite tea with a warming charm on it. They'd let him recover for a bit, then get him back to the tower and into his bed. But Remus didn't wait for them, like he usually did, instead he tried to summon his clothes. Sirius exchanged a look with James, then headed over.
"Hey Moony." He dropped to his feet at Remus' side and stroked gentle fingers through his hair. "Don't try anything, okay? We got you. Let us help."
They had perfected this part over the years, dressing Remus as carefully as possible. He didn't seem to be bleeding this time, which was good, but even without an injury the moon took almost everything out of him.
