At the mention of Lily's name, James' stomach gave a painful twist, but he did his best not to show it, offering a not-at-all smug smile and a shrug instead. He missed her, more with each day that rolled by. After all, it was more then being suddenly without his wife - they'd spent every day, basically every hour, together ever since going into hiding. He was sure they'd driven each other barmy on more than one occasion, but not having her here just felt.. weird.
"Well, someone's got to bring some domestic bliss into this group," he shot back. "What with the rest of you gallavanting around like a bunch of idiots." Although 'gallavanting' and 'idiot' were hardly words that matched Remus. Sirius.. well, he had his moments.
"It'll be fine," James told Remus, sounding much more sure than he felt. If anyone was going to be some time magicky, werewolfy test subject, he'd rather it wasn't his friend. But here they were. "Its a good point though... guess we can scribble anything down in the morning? Let's get through tonight first."
James shifted a little, picking up on the nervous energy which had started to take ove the group. He wanted to jump up and move around, but felt that might be annoying. It was always like this before the moon arrived, like time was speeding up and slowing down all at once.
