"Did you tell her that inviting random strangers back to your flat in the middle of a war was a good way to end up dead?" Remus asked, shaking his head and shifting so he could nudge Sirius' foot with his own. He left it there, the only amount of physical contact he could stand so close to the transformation he could already feel buzzing beneath his skin, waiting for the sun to set and the moon to rise. "I'm sure James here will be happy to tell you friendship doesn't hold a candle to the intimacy he found with Lily," he teased. "But, there's nothing wrong with you for not wanting that, yet. I need someone to keep me company in my confirmed bachelorhood, after all." That had been the plan, hadn't it? James and Lily had Harry. Remus and Sirius were going to be the two crazy bachelor uncles. Peter...well, Remus had always kind of hoped Peter found his own Lily. But, who knew what he wanted? History threw so much into question.
Hearing James call Sirius Pads caused Remus to pause. He hadn't used the nickname that had almost become an endearment between them all since being brought to this time. He had felt it hovering there, along with 'Prongs'. But, hadn't yet been able to say it as freely as he once had.
"Like I'm about to throw up," he admitted to James, shaking the thought away. "It was only two days to the Full when I was brought here. I think the extra two weeks wait is throwing things off. I don't know." He huffed a rueful laugh, the sound rougher than usual due to the transformation's proximity. "Not that I have any way of knowing for sure, since no other werewolf has ever skipped a Full Moon for two weeks and recorded it."
