Rolling his eyes good-naturedly, Remus sat back down on the pitch. "Fancied a walk," he repeated as he leaned back on his hands, legs outstretched in front of him. "Evening stroll, hm." Despite himself, he found one corner of his mouth turning up in a soft half-smirk. He'd never quite mastered the expression of a full smirk, not like those two had. His own version was softer, closer to an amused smile, no matter how hard he'd tried.
For a moment, just a moment, he could almost imagine they were back to more light-hearted, innocent days. Remus had always enjoyed the quiet times around the castle, when he could sense the energy around them, when his senses weren't bombarded with the scent and sound of teenage hormones.

He turned to look up at Sirius, one eyebrow raising. "Date?" he asked, a teasingly lilt to his voice. "That's fast even for you, isn't it?"
