It's how things worked before, it's how things work now. People trust who they know. Look at us, look at the people Harry put close to him. Not that I'm blaming him, since he has at least tried to be fair. You're related to a family of heroes. You could have done anything you wanted. I had a Muggleborn mother who worked to make ends meet."
He shrugged. "I'm sure it's not perfect, but it does come with a lot of perks that others don't have. Do you know why poor people have little sympathy for the rich? Because they never had to decide if they were going to pay rent or food. Their problems are not as important as feeding a hungry child." He shrugged. "But that's not the case with you. You'd be famous for giving them something they never had, a true chance at doing magic. That's a damn good reason to be famous."
