It was hard to imagine Potter giving up. He hadn't given up on anything in his entire life. Though the death of all his children and friends could do it. He still couldn't imagine Harry as a Dad.
"But you didn't tell me no." He kept Harry's gaze, unable to keep the bemused expression off his face. "You told me to wait. So that's what I'm doing. I'm waiting. I can be incredibly patient, when it's worth it."
He eyed Harry up and down, settling back on his face.
"I'm here because you told me I could come. Seemed as good a use of my time as any."
