Draco sighed and rested his forehead against Harry's.
"If that were true old you would still be around and he could deal with all this."
He sighed again and let go of Harry's wrists, placing his hands on his shoulders instead.
"I know what happens when the wrong people are in power. I do. And I think you're right, that it needs to be you. At least for now. I certainly wouldn't trust anyone else. But this isn't like the old ministry. There isn't anyone trying to take over. There aren't thousands of people who need you to protect them. Right now there's just the handful of us. Just... Relax. A little. Let a little bit of the world rest. You don't have to carry it all today. It'll wait for you."
He pulled back and smiled.
"I'm meant to be distracting you from your brooding, and I'm doing a terrible job."
