"I wouldn't have let them. Besides, I'm pretty sure that you would have managed to petrify anyone coming at you." He knew just how powerful and knowledgeable Snape was. "And no Death Eater got to you either. They might have wanted your position, but no one was stupid enough to try and take you down." He snorted. "Let's just say that when I found out I wasn't thrilled with Dumbledore. You fought to find another way. You tried to protect me more than he did."
He nodded. "I know. I wouldn't have agreed otherwise." He drank some of his wine but smiled as he put the glass down. "I got curious and went to see the history classroom. Binns is still there teaching. I know what you think, but with the entire civilization gone he might become a source of knowledge for scholars. You know people not like me. But as I said, I can do Defense if you like, Albus has Charms, Savannah flight, Mum can do Herbology, Dumbledore has tranfiguration and you have potion. You've got everything covered. The house-elves won't take long to change the tower too."
Harry met Snape's gaze. "You tried to protect me despite Dumbledore. If that doesn't make you a good man, I don't know what does." Harry almost rolled his eyes. Almost. "That's bullshit and you know it. Just because things were tough, it doesn't mean that he had the right to be a bully."
