Severus quirked an eyebrow as he lead the way back up the stairs. "If they put you out in the field without proper training, then they were fools. Whether you were the Boy Who Lived And Lived And Merlin Help Us Lived Some More or not, you should have had that training."
It did however explain a great deal about the man and how he was now. He'd never had time to detach himself from how other people saw him. Quite possibly it had never occurred to him that he should do that or that he could do that.
When they got back to the office, he paused long enough to summon a house elf and send it off to fetch dinner for both of them. "Much the same," he said as he cleared his curriculum notes from the small table that was under the windows. "It seems to have settled down now. There is something I would like to try that I want to discuss with you." He gestured for Harry to sit down. "I have wine if you want some."
He nodded slowly. "Yes, it might be worth doing that. There is only Albus and myself to teach but I think that will be workable for now since we largely need to establish a baseline for them." He grimaced at the thought of teaching but as with so much of his life, there was little choice. It could not all be left to Albus. "Your cousin? The large fat boy? He had magical children?" He snorted. "No doubt his parents were appalled."
