"Eh, Robards wasn't so bad, but you did have to ignore him from time to time." Merlin knew he and Harry had made a habit of it when it suited them. Which was often. He was starting to have more sympathy for the man though, now that he was in his shoes. "I feel like there are plenty of people around who will tell me if I'm being stupid. You, Malfoy, Hermione. I'm well supported in that area."
He gave her a mock pout. "What does a man have to do to get points around here? Would Muffin Mondays work as a motivator?" They would for him, but he wasn't sure about anyone else. "But yeah, I get that. We don't have as many departments now, so it made sense to officially make you part of the DMLE, such as it is." He grinned again. "Well, given the number of times we convicted the person we arrested after you were done with them, I'd say we were right to arrest them in the first place." Of course, usually when they'd arrested someone they were in the middle of performing Dark Magic on innocent bystanders, so there had been little to question.
"What? You mean our carefully thought out tragedies didn't fool anyone? I'm shocked. And she was blind, particularly with Harry. I think I was just a byproduct of her obsession with his death." Which, in hindsight, was creepy. "Red. Okay, I can live with that."
