"Yeah, well they always know how to make things work for them," James replied, doing his best to keep the scathing tone from his voice and failing miserably. He was hoping that by just refusing to acknowledge certain people, they might pop back into nothing or whatever, but it didnt seem to be working so far.
He was glad when the conversation turned to something else. Even more glad when it was Quidditch. The grin James gave this time was unmistakable, and a hundred times more genuine than the last. "Yeah? That's wicked! McG was always desperate to win the cup, no wonder she bent the rules. You'll have to show me what you've got, once we get them sorted."
It was one of the things he had been looking forward to, teaching his kid how to fly. Although... he supposed someone else would have had that job.
James frowned. It was a strange idea, something as permanent as the ministry vanishing into nothing. The idea of it, along with the ghosts of Godrics Hollow, unsettled him a bit. "But they can't just have vanished everything," he said. "Perhaps stuff got moved, just in case."
