Apparently I'm making a time turner.

In truth I'm not. Unlicensed usage of time turners was forbidden for good reason. They did need a device for detecting usage, in order to catch people who used them. I thought to make one of those items.

It might help in determining when the castle is doing what it does.

In theory.
