Throughout their conversation, Lily felt a renewed sense of closeness with James. They seemed to be of one mind about the Peter situation, so that helped her feel somewhat justified in her thoughts regarding all that. Being able to talk like this with him, to Lily it was just like the old days but without the looming threat of war.
Keeping that in mind, she regretted bringing up the Sirius thing. Clearly, both he and James found nothing weird about the situation, and her marriage with James certainly hadn't suffered in terms of intimacy. Regardless of what Regulus said, she couldn't help but believe that James talking to Sirius about all that would be the best solution for either of them.
"You don't have to talk to Sirius, not yet at least. It's not like he's sneaking into the bed," Lily decided. "If we find out that it's perfectly safe to try for more kids, then we might want to work out a system so he knows when not to interrupt us." She wouldn't be so crude as to suggest a sock on the doorknob, but still. "Besides, it's not like he hasn't already seen us naked, whether it be accidentally or on purpose."
She considered what he said about Harry, laughing softly. "He takes after me in that respect. And I agree, he might be right about that. How do we go about doing that, though?" Lily wasn't sure that she could just pretend it wasn't going to happen, since as far as Harry was concerned, it already had.
"What's so wrong with here? Is there somewhere else we could go?" Lily wasn't being facetious; she had no idea if there were other habitable places they could get to. "Everyone we know and love is here, Sirius wants to be a godfather again, and I bet Harry would love to have a little brother or sister."
Honestly, the only thing giving her pause was wondering if like James said, they could with everything that goes on there. "I believe, that we could do anything we set our minds to. I'm just not sure if it's something that needs to be cleared with someone."
