"I get that they have a code of honour, but a dragon there is also stupid. If they truly thought that people wouldn't try to steal, they wouldn't have so many security measures. So their security measures were not the best," he said, because if they had poked holes in them at seventeen, there had to be other holes. "Charlie needs to find his own dragon to ride," he said, grinning. "I guess, since the poor bloke is stuck in a bank with no one."
Harry didn't think that the changes were much better. They still sounded like politicians and didn't have heart, but he'd never read a letter that had heart at the ministry. "It's a boring letter, but-" He grinned. "If we're going at war with every other country, then we can keep it boring. I'm sure the answers to this won't be." He had no doubt that there would be a war after this went." He leaned back. "As much as I'd love to go full war, because that's what I do best. Here are the problems. One, they can cut off our access to wands, which will make this letter as helpful as used toilet paper. Two, they could try to stop the goblins from moving here with economic incentives. If we're going that route, we need to get our wand supply here first. I'll speak with Lucius and see how we're doing with that. Do you know what we should include? That we have a wand maker willing to work with them to create wands that are suitable for goblins."
He chuckled. "I've been given too much credit, even when other people should have had it." His entire life he'd felt that he'd been given too much credit and others not enough. "There's got to be something we're missing. You arrived in the summer, July right? Next month, I tell Dudley not to send his kid to Hogwarts. Something must have happened and quickly, something that I knew felt wrong. It couldn't be something that Hermione did. Something else happened in the meantime." He sighed. "I wish I knew what though." He nodded. "All three are alive, they finished their schooling at Beauxbatons and live in France. I'll let him know that my kids are older than me. In case he wasn't freaked out enough. All right so we got a letter now, let me talk to Lucius and we go from there. And yes you can be in charge of communication, since you seem to be good at it and want to do it. I still think it's boring but you're not in charge of communication."
