"A great many things," Remus replied with his softer, not-smirk. "But, I doubt you'd be interested in the problems with attempting to equitably redefine the age old definitions of beings, beasts, and spirits while trying to find ways to bring everyone to the table who should be invited."
The scents of sweat and dog followed Sirius as he drew closer, hinting at where his friend must be coming from. For Sirius to have been out, not having sex, at that time of night/morning, Remus knew he must have been very troubled. He almost wished he didn't have to have this conversation. But, like lancing a boil, it had to be done or things would fester and rot between them. While he knew it was going to hurt, Remus also hoped that they could come out of this with a stronger friendship than ever in the end.
