"Right? And if you say anything about it, you're the weird one. Thank Morgana that I have you and the brothers and Roxanne and Savannah. I'd go mental otherwise. As mental as the rest of these people!" She kept her voice on the low side but not particularly because she didn't want to offend anyone. It was just early, and even Lilu couldn't be crazy loud early in the morning. "I didn't say it would be terrible, just that I don't need to see anyone hitting on either of my brothers. But Jamie would be lucky to have you. I would just like him to have you far away from me."
Lilu hesitated. Normally, she loved to gossip, mostly because it was the best way to find out if something was wrong with someone and then she could try to help. "Quite a bit, but it's personal. I promised him I wouldn't talk about it, and I probably shouldn't even have said that." She wrinkled her nose at the mention of his grandfather; Lucius Malfoy had always given her the creeps even if she knew Scorpius loved him.
"Well, there's a lot in this century to be interested in, so I suppose you can be forgiven." She grinned at the look on Scorpius' face as he started in on the grand love affair, and as he got going she had to admit that it made a hell of a lot of sense. "I don't think your father would call his life terrible. He got you, and we all know how much he loves you. Even this version of your father." It was her own she'd never been entirely certain of, and now she knew why to an extent. He'd probably never wanted them to begin with, and resented them for keeping him from his soulmate. "I hope they make it work this time around. No one deserves to have two terrible lives."
"I think I'll pass on that one. Too much up close and personal time with Harry Potter Minister for Magic I think." She had a hard enough time at their lunches right now, she couldn't imagine what it'd be like working directly with him-as-minister. "I need to sit down and list out the choices, make pros and cons, and then decide which one I can be happiest in for however long the castle keeps us here."
