Lilu liked eating in the Great Hall for breakfast and dinner most of the time. Lunch was taken up with Potter Lunches, which were a never-ending source of weirdness as far as she was concerned. She did like getting to know the OGs, but it was super weird that the lunches had been her father's idea and it was even weirder seeing him interact with his parents like he actually wanted a family or something. Bizarre, and she really needed to talk to her brothers about it now that she'd had a chance to see him in action and do something thinking.
Today, though, she was pleased when Scorpius sat down next to her. She scooted closer and gave him an awkward but sincere sideways hug. "I'm going down to the lake later, to talk to the Giant Squid. I'm convinced he has his own language, and I'm going to learn it. Lily--my grandmother Lily--and I have decided he knows centuries of castle gossip." She knew it had been mostly in jest, but she was now half-convinced it was true and was going to find out for certain one of these days.
"Oh, I'm fine," she said, almost automatically. It was the standard response when someone asked how you were, wasn't it? "Have to figure out a job though. Any suggestions? You've been here awhile, where are the biggest needs?"
