"No," Albus agreed thoughtfully, rubbing the broken bridge of his nose with his thumb and giving a small smile. "I don't suppose you were."
So this was the one. Albus eyed Al with a new interest. He wasn't sure what he should have expected... nothing, probably. A name was just a name, after all. It didn't seem fair to make any kind of presumption based on such a thing. Still, a part of him was intrigued.
If he was honest, Albus had yet to hear too much about his older self that warranted having a child named after him.
"It's a failed alchemy project," Albus frowned at the piece of metal, turning it over in hand. It caught the light but remained dark and dull. "I've been trying to recreate my older self's later work, but I must be missing something... This isn't quite what I was looking for." He glanced across at Al with another mild, faintly apologetic smile. "Although still quite lethal, it would seem. I must have overreached somewhere."
