Kirley had never been an early riser, but he was someone who tended to wake up when their bed partner did. He wasn't sure what it was, if he slept less deeply when someone was in bed with him, or if it was an instinct that had developed since waking up with someone usually led to sleepy morning sex, but he'd always found it impossible to stay asleep when someone else was awake.
Very rarely, however, did he wake up because his bedpartner was in a panic. He cracked his eyes open, rolling over to face Sirius, and saw him sitting up with a frantic look in his eyes, holding his shirt to his chest like some sort of Victorian maiden.
Fuck. Had he made a mistake last night? Had Sirius truly been too drunk to know what he was doing? He hadn't thought so at the time, and it had been years since he'd misread anyone's intentions, but there was always a chance he'd been wrong.
"Hey, what's wrong?" Just because Kirley didn't want a relationship, or anything aside from a casual fuck, didn't mean he was a completely heartless bastard. Sirius truly looks distressed, and Kirley never liked that in his partners. And, he needed to make sure he hadn't crossed any lines. "You don't look so hot. Hangover?"
