James & Lily
Lily looked around as she made herself comfortable waiting for James, drumming her fingers on the table. She felt a little anxious - not in a bad way, mind you, more in a combination of nervous and excited sort of way since she felt like she had forgotten how to behave in social situations.
Keeping a slight smile on her face, Lily was somewhat in awe of how the place had been transformed. That this had once been an old boathouse seemed a bit hard to believe considering how it looked now. It was quite nice in here, just posh enough to draw a person in while still being casual enough to seem welcoming. If Lily didn't know any better this would almost feel like she and James were on a date.
"Why thank you, Mr. Potter." She giggled at James' formality, sitting up a little straighter as she picked up her glass to take a sip. Lily let the taste of beer roll around in her mouth, hoping that her usual tolerance for alcohol wasn't too affected by how long it had been. "Yes, I see what you mean," she responded, taking another sip of her drink. "Do you really think McGonagall would have allowed it?"
If she closed her eyes, it almost felt like she and James were teenagers again. The only thing missing was Sirius crashing their date... making excuses like he didn't realize that he was interrupting. Back in the good old days, before everything went pear shaped.
